Pen and ink on paper, colored in PhotoShop
So last summer I started
reading Lust For Life, a biography of Vincent Van Gogh,
and I became very intrigued by the description of him sketching flemish
coal miners. At the time he was working in a very poor mining community
as a pastor, and was enamored with the spirit of these workers, thier
connection to the land and thier innate nobility.
