I chose Hey Pretty by Poe (and Mark Danielewski). There's so much imagery packed into the various remixes, it seemed like a no-brainer to me. But I really love the song(s) and wanted to try to put my spin on them, and it should be fairly well-known to most listeners. I came up with the basic layout while away on travel, and when I got back, set to work on it. I wished I could have included more lyrics on the page, but I really like the font I used, and it won't reproduce well at a small size. To me, this song is very much in the style of H.P. Lovecraft's writings, particularly his C'thulu mythos. That was a big inspiration for this pic as well. What I get out of the song is it's about mortal man going one step too far; opening one more door than he should have, and entering into an ancient world far older, filled with Elder Gods & Godlings... deadlier than what he's ever known or can handle... . Which is what I think the C'thulu mythos touch on as well.
